Rashmita joined Sunoptic during a challenging time for the finance team, where there was an urgent need to prepare overdue year-end accounts and consolidate financials across seven countries. In addition to mentoring the team, she established daily and monthly controls and processes. Rashmita swiftly implemented a new accounting system, automating many manual tasks, and provided monthly consolidated accounts—giving Sunoptic this level of financial visibility for the first time. She also improved cash flow by conducting regular debtor reviews and negotiating key supplier contracts, significantly enhancing financial management.

Upon joining Vromo, Rashmita established a finance team, implemented structured month-end reporting processes, and developed a comprehensive long-term financial plan. These foundational efforts were instrumental in Vromo's successful £5 million Series A fundraising.

Rashmita was brought in to establish a finance function and support Kleene following its Series A fundraise. She developed a financial plan and cash flow forecast to manage the company's monthly cash burn effectively. Additionally, she negotiated several key contracts, directly improving cash flow. A vital aspect of her role involved collaborating with leadership to define key KPIs and implement data-driven reporting to track progress on a weekly basis. Her strengths lie in building finance teams and automating processes while mentoring and developing her team.

Rashmita is one of the most motivating and supportive managers I have had the privilege of working with. Under her leadership, I felt empowered to push my limits, enhance my skills, and recognize the value of my contributions to both the team and the company. Rashmita also encouraged me to pursue my studies, which ultimately led to my qualification as a Certified Chartered Accountant.
